WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Do you have Soul? Soulsight is looking for the next Associate Creative Director rock star who shares our passion for branding with integrity. The role of a Soulsight ACD is ideal for collaborative leaders who strive to inspire others with their creative vision. Our ACDs work directly with team members of all levels and functions — design, creative strategy and account strategy — to deliver a more cohesive experience internally and with client partners. While our ACDs must be seasoned design pros with vast experience in brand development across categories and channels, as important is exuding a positive leadership mentality. Working alongside our leadership team and reporting up to our Executive Creative Director, ACDs act as role models who check their egos at the door and take an empathetic and humble approach to leading their teams toward creative breakthroughs.

THE JOB IN A NUTSHELL

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Adobe Creative Suite – Expert Level 
  • 10+ years of experience at a design and branding agency with diverse experience in brand development across categories and channels such as: beverage, food, hard goods, health/beauty, sports, activation, digital and identity design systems
  • Experience in managing a team 
  • Experience in project management 
  • Advanced problem resolution and communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate internal team and client needs, serving as a valued partner
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects at one time
  • Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment

CREATIVITY

  • Lead conceptual projects by:
    • Leading the development of a holistic creative vision to tell a compelling story across multiple channels
    • Providing creative direction based on design objectives and strategy, building upon and strengthening the creative thinking process
    • Mapping out front-end creative vision, design narrative, and final deliverables to set the team up for success
    • Building a diverse and creative range of work
    • Developing both a strategic and business rationale for range of work and recommendations
  • Oversee and approve projects led by other directors, providing high level feedback for the creative, guidance and leadership throughout the process and support in preparing for presentations
  • Lead internal critiques and reviews, be prepared with a point of view to guide the conversation, and provide inspiration and vision to the team by generating big ideas for a diverse and strategic range of work
  • Provide a high level of leadership, participation and output in creative ideation sessions, naming ideations and brainstorms
  • Player/Coach needs: jump in when needed to help build out a robust creative presentation
  • Design creative presentations and lead with account and strategy counterparts

MANAGEMENT

  • Manage a team: responsible for providing mentorship, management training, timely performance feedback and developing the team
  • Support senior leadership to build and evolve processes and protocol, strengthen team structures, spearhead and champion leadership initiatives to positively shape agency culture
  • Guide, mentor and openly communicate with the cross-functional teams to ensure clarity and alignment

LEADERSHIP

  • Display a full knowledge of Soulsight capabilities and be able to articulate them, sell them, find opportunities to apply them and lead new business
  • Lead clients both in meetings and day-to-day interactions by providing expertise, vision, an understanding of their project and business needs, and strong trust and communication
  • Lead presentations with enthusiasm, present design work and creative ideas to clients with a high level of preparedness, passion and insight to the needs and objectives of the project, identify opportunities for new business growth
  • Share feedback with design team immediately following client presentations
